There is one subject I have so much to talk about on, that I decided it should probably warrant it's own Xanga. So, check out www.xanga.com/CharlieATWA for my thoughts on Charles Manson. It should be, if things go the way they're planned, continually updated. Within the next few days, if not tonight, I should have my essay on drug use up. I also plan to do one on physical violence, as I haven't got all the kinks out of my theories on it, and perhaps writing it down would help that. :)

I got a few comments on free love, both in the journal and otherwise. I'm digging it. DyingEmerald1692 in particular really hit the nail on the head, as far as I feel. People are silly and need to get over themselves and quit being so demanding and possessive. If someone wants to fuck around with everyone possible, it's their life. Why would sexual promiscuity warrant a person completely horrible? Step out of your life, really, step out of your world and society, and give it some thought. It's silly.

Now, on to more sexual taboos! There sure are a lot of them.  I saw the Olsen Twins' movie New York Minute a few days ago. There was nothing, in my eyes, that would be sexually inappropriate for anyone of any age to see in this film. If you have a large amount of free time, check out http://www.flickfilosopher.com/flickfilos/archive/2004/newyorkminute.shtml. Basically, it's some crazy old lady ranting and raving about how the Olsen Twins made the movie solely to cater to "dirty old men", and how the constantly 'sexually provocative' scenes made her sick to her stomach. I could go on record and say the movie could be played on Nickelodeon at noon and it shouldn't get anyone indignant, but I won't. That's not my point.

My point is...These girls are fucking seventeen years old. Is it really horrible pedophilia at this point? Legally, they can have savage butt sex with horses, fuck themselves with cruxifixes, and give blowjobs to 80 year old men and distribute videos of these acts worldwide...next month. They'll be 18, it'll be legal, and noone will really raise an eyebrow, so far as the pedophilia bit. And what the hell's with pedophila in the first place? A 15 year old can be every bit as intelligent and rational as any 20 year old, some cases more so. However, a dumb 20 year old with a manipulative and cunning 30 year old is a thousand times more acceptable than an intelligent 15 year old with an honest 20 year old, and the latter has half the age difference. I've heard a story in which a 60 year old judge was fired from his position, when it was brought to light that when he was 22, he was having sex with a 17 year old. He later married this woman, as in fact was STILL married to her when he was fired. Tell me, what the FUCK was his crime?

Since I became 18, I could have been fined/arrested quite a few times for fooling around with people a few years younger than I was. Two years of hindsight, and I don't regret ever being affectionate to the people I was. Everyone I've ever been with, "underage" or not, has been completely coherent as a human being, has been fully aware of my age, and was completely concentful. Many times, I've had women force themselves on me, and despite this, it would be me who would get in trouble for taking advantage of this 'poor little girl' who happens to be 2 or 3 years younger if any law figure ever took notice. I've seen much more extreme cases, and been in them myself, and even so, I've not seen any as immoral.

Physical affection and/or sex, unless non-concentual, is never, and can never be an immoral thing. If two people willingly want to make the other feel good, who is anyone to stop them? Age difference, Racial difference, gender preference...does it matter at all? Love is a wonderful thing, and if two (or more) people can find it together, I think one has to be nothing short of an absolute, horrible monster to stop them or condemn them simply because it falls contradictory to their beliefs.

A closing note....

A year ago, two homosexual men were ARRESTED for having sex together. Put in prison and FINED because they were in love, and felt like expressing it. I'm a fairly open minded guy, and I'm exceedingly non-violent, but show me anyone who feels like that should have went down the way it did, and I'll be obliged to beat them relentlessly, screaming obscenities of every sort at their battered frames, for weeks on end.

I feel that I want to get my thoughts out on relationships, love, and the like.

It seems to me that holding a single person to your sole possession is just selfish, and shows some large level of insecurity. I can't see an argument in favor of strictly monogamous relationships, outside of jealousy and distrust.

I feel that if two people are in a close relationship, and one wants to see another person as well, certainly, they should at least talk about it beforehand out of consideration, but there really is no reason to refuse someone that privilage. If you love someone, and TRULY love that person, there's no possession. It's not a matter of them pleasing you...you want them to be happy. If you love someone, and being in 5 sexual relationships at a time pleases this person? You'd let them, if you loved in the truest sense of the word. I don't believe "Free Love" is an inane, unthought out, hedonistic and immoral movement.

I think there is love enough in everyone's hearts for more than one person. There just also happens to be enough fear, jealousy, and insecurity to restrict that love.

Using what I'm saying so far, however, one could conceivably be in long term relationships with 5 or so people, all hoping the two of you could move in together. One could easily see how that could cause problems. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with picking out a specific partner above the others.  I guess you could call it having a spouse, with multiple fuck buddies on the side...Either way, I feel if the world held these beliefs, breakups would be rediculously reduced, and the world's collective stress level would drastically drop. (Rediculously reduced...drastically drop...Illiteration. I love it. )

If anyone really has any striking arguments for strictly one on one relationships, feel free to comment, I'd like to hear what you have to say.

As in tradition with all things truly epic (Not that this will ever be by any stretch of the imagination), I'd like to start off with a song.

YOUR HOME IS WHERE YOU'RE HAPPY Charles Manson

Your home is where you're happy
It's not where you're not free
Your home is where you can be what you are
'Cause you were just born to be

Now they'll show you their castles
And diamonds for all to see
But they'll never show you that peace of mind
'Cause they don't know how to be free

So burn all your bridges
Leave your old life behind
You can do what you want to do
'Cause you're strong in your mind

And anywhere you might wander
You can make that your home
And as long as you got love in your heart
You'll never be alone

Just as long as you got love in your heart
You'll never be alone, no no no...
You'll never be alone, no no no no...
